On this day in 1952, the greatest progressive rock drummer of our time was born. Born Cornelius Ellwood Peart, Neil Peart has become one of the most influential musicians of our time. In 1974, he became the drummer and chief lyricist for Rush, and helped propel the band to a class all their own.Last month he and his wife, Carrie, celebrated the birth of their daughter, Olivia Louise.
